Time to get into training for the silly season everyone at a dangerously fun, new (re-invented) place to hang out and thoroughly enjoy yourselves. With panoramic views and a host and hostess with very much the mostest.
Golf Ifach was taken over three months ago by the beautiful Maria, who is Spanish, and her gorgeous boyfriend Ramon, who is half Dutch and half Italian. Quite the combo for putting on a good party. They are both really warm and entertaining, and whenever I have visited I have left with sore sides after bantering with their very witty friends (ask for Billy!) and international clients, and have loved the vibe.
The couple both come from impressive catering backgrounds and are passionate about creating great food and a party atmosphere. Currently the kitchen is too small to offer a menu that would reveal Ramon’s passion for Tuscan Italian cooking, but for the moment very fresh finger food is available until 10pm. Tasty chicken wings, meatballs, calamari, home-made chips etc.
Maria and Ramon want to put their lounge club on the map, where it should be, and especially to make sure that non golfers and people of all ages know that they are very welcome. A variety of cocktails are available, made very professionally I am told, and a great selection of beers and wine. For those who have never been here, the view from the two terraces is just stunning. Across the valley and golf course to the sea and Calpe rock.
There is a large and lovely pool all are encouraged to use, and they have already put on some themed music party nights very successfully (the last one was Cuban). More are in the planning, so do keep your eye on their facebook page loungeclubifachcocktailbar.
I really hope this place takes off for them, and I highly recommend it as a place to make new friends, enjoy great company, and let your hair down. Oh and it’s easy to park. I like that.
Non members can play golf or tennis here by the way or if you prefer darts or pool. You can combine sport and indugence here. David Ferrer. Are you reading this month? I am not going to wait forever you know…
