Asian Tiger Mosquitoes: The Battle Continues

Well known for their distinctive black and white stripes on their legs and body, the Asian Tiger is more aggressive than other types of mosquito. It not only wants to suck your blood through the night, but is more than happy to prey on you throughout the day, spreading dangerous diseases such as West Nile Fever, Dengue Fever, Yellow Fever and the Zika virus which became a serious issue during the Olympics in 2016.

* Mosquitoes are the World’s biggest serial killers, killing around 1 million people a year, most of the deaths are due to Malaria.

*Mosquitoes also carry diseases such as Zika Virus, West Nile Virus, Dengue, Chikungunya, Dog Heart Worm, Yellow Fever and many more.
*Spain reported over 229 cases of Zika during 2016.
*There are over 3500 different species of mosquitoes in the World.
* A mosquito can drink 3 times its body weight in blood.
*Female mosquitoes can lay up to 300 eggs at any one time.
